Rams suffer heavy defeat at FLAIR Stadium to York Knights. After a weekend break for the Challenge Cup Final, the Rams were back in action against York Knights at FLAIR Stadium. It was a solid start for both sides but it was the visitors who scored the first points of the game through Bradley Ward after an acrobatic leap in the corner. FIELD AND RUSSELL JOIN THUNDER ON LOAN
We would like to wish the best of luck to Jamie Field and Joel Russell who have both joined Newcastle Thunder on loan for an initial two-week spell. Both Field and Russell, who joined the Rams in the off-season from Westgate Common and Shaw Cross Sharks respectively, will be eligible for Newcastle as they face League One leaders Oldham on Sunday at the Gateshead International Stadium. Field has featured twice this season off the bench, whilst Russell has made one appearance against York Knights in the Challenge Cup.
LEE JOINS RAMS’ BACKROOM STAFF
We are delighted to welcome Danny Lee to the club as our new Strength and Conditioning Coach. Lee who played in the club’s reserved side from 2000-03, has had an extensive career in the amateur game playing for Thornhill Trojans and Dewsbury Celtic for the past twenty years and now makes the step up into the backroom team.
