Dewsbury Rams were victorious against Leigh Centurions on Sunday, beating the Lancashire club 52-6 on the day. Before the game each side had mascots walking out with them, walking out with the Leigh players were Shaw Cross Sharks boys, Walking out with the Dewsbury players were a selection of mascots who had all done the role earlier on in the season. The mascots enjoyed a tea party before the game, meeting a number of the Rams players and the official club mascot, Roger the Ram. Igbinedion signs for 2019
Dewsbury Rams can officially announce that Daniel Igbinedion has signed a new deal at the Rams. The prop/second rower won the man of the match on Sunday against Leigh Centurions. It was announced after the game in the Royal Suite that Igbinedion (Iggy) has agreed to stay at the club for another season.
Kelly- “It is a brilliant club”
Dewsbury Rams head coach Neil Kelly took charge of his final game of the season, which ended in a superb 52-6 victory over Leigh Centurions at The Tetley’s Stadium. Kelly was delighted with the victory, he said: “I think its an indictment of the whole game in general at the moment, great teams and great clubs are turning up to grounds with only 13 players. Awards Night Success
On Thursday the 27th September Dewsbury Rams held their Awards Night where fans, staff, players, sponsors and more could come together to celebrate the season just gone. Various awards were handed out throughout the evening, with the very funny Pete Emmett being the MC for the event. The night went fantastically well and we can now show you some of the images taken on the evening. Smales surprised and shocked at winning Rams Heritage Award
Dewsbury Rams were delighted to have former head coach and 1973 playoff final winner Tommy Smales at the clubs 2018 awards night. Smales was the first ever recipient of the Heritage award as fans remembered that glorious season back in 1972-73. Dewsbury were the last team to be crowned champions under the playoff system until it was re-introduced in the Super League era in 1998. It was also the 78th season of rugby league to be played in England since the game’s inception. Dewsbury finished eighth in the overall league standings, however they negotiated a very difficult playoff campaign to […]
