Rams prop Matty English can’t wait to go to Barrow on Sunday, saying the worse the conditions the better, as the 20 year old loves the rough and tumble of Cumbria’s harsh weather. Rams boss Neil Kelly hailed the contribution of his forwards in Sunday’s victory over Swinton Lions. Dewsbury scored 20 unanswered points to make it three wins from four so far this season. “I thought Matty English and Toby Everett were the big difference in taking us forward. Matty English has provided an insight into his aspirations for the year ahead, after joining the Rams on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Giants. The prop forward played against Dewsbury during pre-season, but says he’s now relishing pulling on the Red, Amber and Black. “My ambitions are to play regularly and help the Rams to as many wins as possible,” said English “I’m a Wakefield lad, so Dewsbury is a local team for me, and I really want them to do well this year. “One of the big attractions was the chance to play alongside the likes of Billy Hayes […]
