Dewsbury Rams drew 14-14 on Boxing Day to the Batley Bulldogs. It was the first piece of action for both sides heading into a busy 2020. The Rams started the first ten minutes off well. However it was the Bulldogs who managed to get on the front foot. It was the visitors who took the lead as Alistair Leak put the ball down over the line. Dewsbury Rams drew 14-14 with local rivals Batley Bulldogs. A second half fightback by Dewsbury meant the Rams ended a seven year losing run on Boxing Day. Tries from Gabriel, Oakes and Ryder were the ones to score on the day for the Rams.

Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood is excited about seeing his team play on boxing day Vs Batley. The game will kick off at 12pm at the Tetley’s Stadium. On the upcoming fixture Greenwood said: “I am looking forward to seeing how the lads play because they have trained hard. When the 2019 season ended for the Rams in September most already started looking forward to the boxing day battle with our nearest & dearest from across the valley. However this festive season provides a desert to supplement the main course! On Sunday 29th December the Yorkshire cup final will see Mirfield Stags take on Drighlington at the LD Nutrition stadium home of Featherstone Rovers.
