CORAL CHALLENGE CUP THIRD ROUND THORNHILL TROJANS 20 DONCASTER 24 It is difficult to write anything that does justice to the magnificent performance by Thornhill at The Tetleys Stadium last Saturday. The AB Sundecks 1895 Cup changes
The AB Sundecks 1895 Cup will have a fresh look in its second season, with three Community clubs from the National Conference League Premier Division joining 17 from Betfred Championship and League 1 for a second opportunity in 2020 to reach a Wembley Final. The NCL champions West Hull will join York Acorn and Underbank Rangers – who are both still alive and kicking in the Coral Challenge Cup – in the First Round draw which will be held in Cumbria on March 18. Swinton game called off
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that our game today against the Swinton Lions is postponed. A pitch inspection took place at 10.30am and it was decided that the game should be called off. A rearranged fixture against Swinton will be announced by both clubs in due course. The Rams next game is away at Halifax next weekend.

Reilly ready for Swinton
Dewsbury Rams player Martyn Reilly is ready to take on the Swinton Lions and try to get the team’s first win. Looking back at last Friday night’s opening weekend defeat to the Leigh Centurions 36-10 Reilly said: “The result didn’t I think reflect the performance if being honest. If it had been a 20-10 or 22-10 game that would have been more correct. Well Round 2 of the Betfred Championship fixtures were severely disrupted last Sunday due to the inconvenience of storm Ciara making her presence felt. Games at Swinton Lions, Featherstone Rovers and York City Knights were postponed. The game at Widnes Vikings was delayed 15 mins as the Batley Bulldogs coach was late in getting to the ground. The Vikings finishing the stronger to win the game. Ciara couldn’t stop London Broncos eventually overcoming a spirited Whitehaven team.
