Lads on fringes have good chance of playing, says Kelly
Rams boss Neil Kelly says he could hand opportunities to players who have recently found themselves on the cusp of selection in tomorrow’s match against Whitehaven. The Rams face the League One side in the fourth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup. Kelly has named a largely settled side in recent weeks, but revealed that some of the players on the sidelines could get the chance to impress in Cumbria. “I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “It’s always tough going up to Cumbria, but I am eager for us to progress in the Challenge. Kelly reflects on Leigh defeat
Rams head coach Neil Kelly has offered his thoughts following Sunday’s 36-0 defeat away at Leigh Centurions. The hosts scored three tries in either half, all of which were converted, to inflict Dewsbury’s third league defeat of the season. “I thought the players showed tremendous spirit and I can’t fault their effort, but you can’t be poor in contact and be poor in shape when you have the ball,” he said. “If you have poor shape and fall foul of the referee then you won’t threaten an opponent, and that’s a lesson we have to learn. “We were playing a […]
