Dewsbury Rams head coach Neil Kelly reflected on Sunday’s defeat to Rochdale. On the 26-22 loss he said: “I didn’t think I could see it happen actually but I’ve seen a 20 point better side. “Watching the game in moments, Rochdale would probably agree that we are a better side than them. Dewsbury Rams were defeated 26-22 by the Rochdale Hornets on Sunday afternoon at The Crown Oil Arena. An end of the game fight back wasn’t enough for the Rams to come away with any points. Dewsbury Rams and the Amber Ribbon have come together for the mascots party at the last home game against Leigh. The mascots have been sponsored by the Amber Ribbon with a £10 voucher through the season. For the Leigh game the Rams have organised a mascots party that will take place in the Royal Suite from 1.30pm with Roger Ram & some players in attendance. The Amber Ribbon have generously sponsored a memento for each Mascot, who will then take to the field before the start of the game. Kelly to leave Rams at the end of the season
Dewsbury Rams can announce that head coach Neil Kelly will be leaving the club at the end of this current season due to personal reasons. Kelly has guided the club to safety again this year and this means the Rams will have another season of Betfred Championship rugby next year. He successfully helped the club retain its Championship status last year when he was appointed as head coach in April 2017.
