Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce that this year’s shirt launch and meet the players night will take place on Wednesday the 11th December. The event will start at 7.30pm in the Royal Suite. On the night fans will be introduced to the Rams 2020 squad. Interviews will take place with head coach Lee Greenwood and various players from the squad. Rams sign Punchard
Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce that it has been able to sign halfback Morgan Punchard on a one year deal. The 20 year old is one of the brightest talents to come through the game in recent years. Having played at both Halifax and Featherstone, Punchard has a good understanding of the Betfred Championship. Although he had originally signed for another year at Featherstone, Punchard felt he would get more opportunities at the Rams. Rams announce dual-reg agreement with Coventry Bears
Dewsbury Rams would like to announce that they have entered into a dual-registration agreement with Betfred League 1 side Coventry Bears for the 2020 campaign. The Rams worked closely with the Bears during the 2019 season, some players went on loan to Coventry to get game time. Head coach Lee Greenwood has built a good relationship up with Coventry over the last year. On the DR agreement Greenwood said: “I’m really happy that we have agreed this partnership with the Bears. Dewsbury Rams players Martyn Reilly and Luke Nelmes as well as club media manager Steven Downes attended Thornhill Trojans u14’s awards evening. The youngsters were one of many groups to attend last year’s Rampage Club on a Monday evening. When asked if one of the Rams players were able to attend, Reilly and Nelmes were only too pleased to help.This once again shows how important the community clubs are to the local Dewsbury area. Rams announce friendly with Bradford
Dewsbury Rams can announce that a pre-season friendly with Bradford Bulls has been arranged. It will take place on the 19th January with a 3pm kick off at the Tetley’s Stadium. Winger moves to Rams on loan
Dewsbury Rams can announce that Betfred Super League side Hull KR winger Will Oakes has moved to the Rams on a season long loan. The 20 year old who grew up in Halifax has played at the highest level of the sport and now he will be representing the Rams in the Betfred Championship. Oakes started his career in the Wakefield Trinity scholarship academy, he stayed there for a few seasons before moving to Hull KR to find first team opportunities.
