The loss brings to an end a good start to the season for the Rams where they managed to get four wins on the bounce. Dewsbury Rams were knocked out of the fifth round of the Challenge Cup when they lost to Newcastle Thunder up in the North East. Try scorers for the Rams included Paul Sykes, Michael Knowles, Will Oakes Connor Scott and Martyn Reilly. Paul Sykes kicked all five conversions on the day for the Rams too. Dewsbury Rams young half back Morgan Punchard was ecstatic to make his debut as he helped the Rams get through to the next round of the Challenge Cup. The Rams won their fourth round tie up at Whitehaven on Wednesday evening in torrid conditions. The Rams were victorious over Cumbrian side Whitehaven on Wednesday night, winning in horrendous mud-bath like conditions. However the hard fought performance got the result that Lee Greenwood’s men wanted. Toulouse Game Postponed
Dewsbury Rams can announce that our home game against Toulouse has been postponed next Sunday. Toulouse have taken the decision to postpone their visit to the Rams until the situation regarding Covid 19 improves to such an extent that travel is considered safe with little risk of either contracting the disease or passing it on to others. The game will be rescheduled later on in this season.
