Betfred Championship and League 1 Forum
Betfred Championship and League 1 clubs held a scheduled Forum via video conference today, chaired by Simon Johnson, RFL Chair. The clubs discussed a range of issues, with the main topic of discussion to consider options for the 2020 season, following its suspension on March 16. Reports from the two working groups that had been set up at the last Forum, in mid-May, were presented – one on cost and logistics, the other on revenue opportunities. Following on from the success of the RFL125 World Cup of Kits and World Cup of Stadia, we’re continuing to celebrate the 125th anniversary of our great sport, and The RFL wants you to help them find the most iconic mascot of all time! Day shares hopes for playing return following fundraising efforts
As many supporters will have noticed, Dewsbury Rams hooker Sam Day has kept himself busy during the lockdown period by raising money for worthy causes. Day, who has become a fans’ favourite at the club since first joining on loan in 2017, is using his time away from the game to keep fit by running half-marathons.
