New league structure for Super League clubs
In a vote today, Super League clubs have decided to chance the structure of England’s top division of the sport. The new structure goes back to the old format of one up and one down regarding promotion and relegation, this means that the recent Super 8s format will no longer take place. Awards night sold out
Dewsbury Rams can announce that the Awards night has now sold out and tickets will no longer be a available. The Rams will have a full Royal Suite for the awards night on the 27th September in the club’s showpiece event. Dewsbury Rams media manager Steven Downes said of the announcement: “It is absolutely fantastic that we have sold out the event, and it again shows the Rams supporters determination to back the club in events such as these. “The night should be a fantastic one with well respected comedian Pete Emmett being the MC for the evening.”
Kelly looks ahead to Featherstone fixture
Dewsbury Rams Head Coach Neil Kelly has looked ahead to this weekend’s fixture at Featherstone Rovers. Kelly’s side have won two games on the spin now, defeating Sheffield in the steel city 30-20 and last week the Rams were victorious over Barrow winning 32-12 on the day. Scissor Sisters Barber Shop wins latest family ticket
Dewsbury Rams are running an initiative where businesses that put up posters to advertise Rams home fixtures will be placed in a prize draw. The latest winner of the family match ticket prize is the Scissor Sisters Barber Shop in Dewsbury. Businesses are backing the Rams by displaying a poster advertising the Rams home games. Richardson signs for Rams
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that Tobias Richardson has signed a permanent deal going into next year. The local lad has made a number of impressive appearances since being drafted in from local amateur side Dewsbury Moor. On acquiring Richardson’s signature Head Coach Neil Kelly told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We’ve signed him for next season. “He has made a really good impression and we see him as part of what we are going to be doing in the longer-term.”
