End of Season Awards Night – 2025
The curtain came down on the 2025 season with our End of Season Awards Night, a fantastic evening celebrating the players, staff, and supporters who make our club so special.
We kicked off the night with the Amber Ribbon Player of the Year, presented by Amber Ribbon Chairman Charlie Coates to Craig McShane.

Next came the Dewsbury Faithfull Player of the Year, a trophy that recognises the bond between the squad and its loyal fans. Neil Coolie and Graham Fisher had the honour of presenting the award to Keeneen Tomlinson.

The evening then paused for a moment of reflection as we presented the Man of Steel Trophy, an award named in memory of Elsie Fryer, who we sadly lost this year. Symbolising strength, resilience, and character, the award was presented by assistant coach Conor to George Senior.

Our Coaches’ Player of the Year, chosen by who know the players best, was announced next. Head coach Paul March proudly presented the trophy to Craig McShane, marking his second award of the night.

One of the most anticipated awards followed—the Players’ Player of the Year. Always special as it comes from teammates themselves, the trophy was presented by team captain Matt to Jack McShane.

The Supporters’ Player of the Year, voted for by our fans—the true heartbeat of the club—went once again to Craig McShane, capping off a remarkable evening for him.

We also took the chance to pay tribute to two outstanding players who’ve left an indelible mark on the game and on our club:
-
Matt Garside, who played his final match on Sunday before hanging up his boots.
-
Paul Sykes, a club legend who achieved a record-breaking milestone this year by completing his 27th professional season in rugby league.
To round off the evening, the Clubperson of the Year award—recognising someone whose contribution extends far beyond the pitch—was presented by Andy Sutcliffe to our volunteer host Steve Moorhouse, whose support and dedication over the years has been truly invaluable.

And with that, our 2025 End of Season Awards Night came to a close. Congratulations once again to all of this year’s winners—and a huge thank you to every single supporter for your passion, loyalty, and backing throughout the season.
