Medical team changes

Dewsbury Rams can confirm that there have been a number of changes to it’s medical staff this season.

Club physio Amy Wesson has departed for pastures new after working at the Rams for three years, and everyone at the club wishes her good luck for the future. Amy did leave Dewsbury with a heavy heart, and she was very appreciative to the club for her first job as a physio in professional sport, but her dream was to work full-time in sport.

Jonny McRae as head physiotherapist.

Jonny was working at Castleford as the U16s physio, but didn’t want to progress to a full-time post as he is currently in training to be an advanced practitioner. He’s got a lot of rugby experience, as well as valuable NHS experience.

Tom Pearson physio

Tom is a qualified sports therapist and is currently in training to be a physiotherapist. He’s Amy’s brother and has been around the club doing adhoc cover for a couple of years. He’s done some adhoc work with Hemel and Sheffield before to.

Head doctor Nick Raynor

Staying on as head doctor is Nick Raynor, this will be his 4th season at Dewsbury. Nick really likes the Rams family so tries to still do the job alongside being head doctor at Castleford. Born in Castleford Nick has been brought up on rugby league. As well as doing his rugby league jobs he also works in West Yorkshire as an Emergency Medicine doctor.

Three students have also joined the medical team on work experience Elisha Hill, Jade Hutchinson and Savannah Pare from Leeds Beckett university.
