The Squadbuilder Team have written an open letter to all Squadbuilder Members.
“OPEN LETTER TO ALL SQUADBUILDER MEMBERS.
Squadbuilder has been very active this season working with Liam to try and assemble a competitive squad for 2023! So far, we have contributed to the signings of Reiss Butterworth, Dale Ferguson, Ollie Greensmith and we are currently working with Liam on another new signing!
None of this would be possible without the contributions of our valued members and as the fund has not been fully utilised for a couple of seasons, we have been able to make a significant contribution to the upcoming season, when the playing budget was always going to be tighter once relegation had been confirmed. We hope you will agree that your contributions have been invested wisely!
We are acutely aware that the Squadbuilder committee needs to communicate more effectively with its members and to that end I am proposing that we set up either a WhatsApp group or a group email, or both! What do you think (ideas are welcome)?
We also need to openly demonstrate how valued our members are and we are exploring options to meet that objective. I had a chat with Liam on Monday regarding this objective and he proposed a number of options which will be progressed.
Historically, transparency has been a criticism raised against Squadbuilder and we are keen to eradicate that perception, every penny contributed to Squadbuilder goes exclusively to player recruitment and retention. It is the only fund-raising vehicle at the Rams where you get to know exactly where your contributions are going, new members are always welcome! To that end we have set up a webpage link on the Rams site which makes it much easier to join.
So, in closing, sorry for the long message but I felt it was important to communicate our actions and aspirations and if anyone wants any further information or to make any recommendations as to how we can improve, I am eager to know!
