We are delighted to announce that George Collins has joined the club for the 2023 season!
Halfback Collins has joined from Castleford Tigers, having moved there from Huddersfield Giants ahead of the 2022 season. Although Collins didn’t make a competitive appearance for Castleford, he did feature for both Whitehaven and Midlands Hurricanes in 2022, before a dislocated kneecap brought an early end to his season.
On joining the club Collins said, “I’m really happy to be at the Rams for 2023, I’m hoping that we can have a good season and push for promotion back to the Championship at the first go!”
Head Coach Liam Finn said “George comes to us hungry to prove himself as a quality halfback ready for a long career and we hope to help him do that. He’s come highly recommended by our Assistant Coach Tony Smith and our combined program of coaching and physical development will help him reach his potential in our team in 2023.”
