After Sunday’s game against Cornwall RLFC a plaque will be unveiled in the Royal Suite to remember former Dewsbury RLFC player John Davies who died tragically in 1969. John Davies was just twenty-eight years old when he suffered a fatal heart attack during a Heavy Woollen Derby against Batley RLFC on Tuesday 15th April 1969, leaving behind his wife and two young children, Erica and Richard.
