The Batley RLFC Ex-Players’ Association have kindly offered an open invitation to all ex-Dewsbury Rams players to Sunday’s Heavy Woollen Derby at the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium. Any ex-Dewsbury players wishing to go Sunday’s game must contact paulharrison@batleybulldogs.co.uk to reserve a place. There will also be reduced tickets available for any guests of ex-players.

Rams fall to another defeat against Widnes Vikings at DCBL Stadium. After last week’s disappointing defeat at home to Doncaster, the Rams started a trio of consecutive away games with a visit to Cheshire to face Widnes Vikings. The Rams got the first score after some brilliant play from Reiss Butterworth who sprayed a fantastic pass out wide to Brad Graham who fed Lewis Carr to score his first of the season. Improved Rams narrowly beaten by Doncaster at FLAIR Stadium. After last Sunday’s defeat against Bradford Bulls, the Rams returned to FLAIR Stadium to face Doncaster RLFC, who were victorious earlier this season when the sides met in a 38-12 victory at the Eco-Power Stadium in April. It was a ferocious start to the game with both sides battling hard for field position early on, the Rams had a few early openings but couldn’t make the most of them. HIRD RECALLED BY EAGLES
We can today confirm that Joe Hird has been recalled from his loan by Sheffield Eagles. After joining on a season-long-loan in November, the South Yorkshire side have activated Joe’s recall clause. Hird has featured 13 times for the Rams this season. Everyone at Dewsbury Rams would like to thank Joe for his efforts during his time with the club.
