Dewsbury Rams can now reveal their first new signing for the 2021 season. Bayley Liu has signed a one year deal with the club. The New Zealand born and Samoan heritage utility player will join up with Lee Greenwood’s men for the new Betfred Championship season. Standing at 6ft’2inch tall, the proud Samoan is an imposing player on the pitch. A hard running centre who can smash through opponents with ease. Last night Dewsbury Rams announced that hooker Sam Day will be staying on for the second year of his contract. The club and head coach Lee Greenwood are delighted we’ve been able to retain Sam. Dewsbury Rams are pleased to confirm they have exercised the 2nd year contract option for Sam Day. Day has now been at the Tetley’s Stadium for four years. Having first joined on loan in 2017. He then signed permanent in 2018. He has since become a vital part of the team and has a strong bond with the Rams faithful living locally. Although Day is small in stature he has the heart of a lion. Crashing into tackles and making his presence felt on the field of play. Dewsbury Rams yesterday announced the re-signing of James Thornton. The Dewsbury born player first signed for the club at the beginning of 2020. His performances in a Rams shirt but also in a Hull KR reserve and Coventry Bears jersey has meant he’s done enough to earn a new contract with the Rams.
