The Rams are pleased to start announcing the players sponsors for the 2021 season. Starting tomorrow evening at 20.21 we will be introducing the players, their shirt numbers & sponsors. The club are very grateful to businesses & fans for their backing of the squad, especially in these challenging times. 2021 Season latest RFL statement
The Betfred Championship and League 1 clubs considered a number of options for the 2021 season at a virtual meeting on Wednesday evening. The consensus reached was that the Betfred Championship season could and should be delayed by several weeks from the scheduled start of late February, in recognition of the current public health situation and the likely implications on the return of fans to elite sport. Tomlinson joins Rams
Dewsbury Rams can announce that 23 year old back-row player Keenen Tomlinson has signed for the club. The Jamaican international will join Lee Greenwood’s team for the upcoming 2021 season. A former Batley Bulldogs player, Tomlinson can play in many positions including centre and wing. He will wear the number 15 shirt for the club. RFL Statement
The Prime Minister’s announcement of a new National Lockdown for England on Monday night will impact on Rugby League, as all other sports and sections of society, in a number of ways. Community Rugby League, which had been due to resume at Youth and Open Age level in January, is now required to be suspended under Government rules. The RFL will be contacting Community Clubs and whilst recognising that the priority remains the public health emergency, will continue to stress to Government, working with other sports, the importance of team sports in terms of the nation’s mental and physical fitness, and the […]
Tomlinson: I needed a new challenge
The club recently announced its newest player in Keenen Tomlinson. Tomlinson a former Batley Bulldog who has now taken up the decision to join the Rams for the 2021 season. On joining the club he said: “I needed a new challenge this year to push myself and I have a little baby girl so wanted to stay near home! I guess I know a little about the club from playing for Batley for last 3 season and know a few of the players.” The Jamaican international originally started playing Rugby Union but then switched codes whilst still a young age.
