Dewsbury Rams Frazer Morris insists the team is ready to put some wrongs right after being dumped out of the cup. Dewsbury were knocked out of the first round of the Challenge Cup two weeks ago by Whitehaven. The Cumbrian club happen to be Dewsbury’s first opponents in the Betfred Championship opening weekend. Dewsbury Rams recently announced that we have signed trialist Alex Smith. The 23 year old halfback is looking forward to what he can achieve at the Tetley’s Stadium. Although he is currently frustrated with an injury he’s hoping to get back into the thick of the action as soon as possible. Rams play Bulls for the Jeff Grayshon trophy
Dewsbury Rams can announce that when they play Bradford Bulls in the Championship they will be competing for the Jeff Grayshon Trophy. This is in remembrance and recognition of the Rugby League legend following his sad passing this week. Jeff Grayshon MBE cemented himself as a Dewsbury legend as he was part of the 1973 Championship winning team. Jeff made 235 starts and 2 substitute appearances in our colours, he scored 31 tries for the club between 1970-1978. He will be fondly remembered by everyone connected with the club. Magnificent Seven for the Easter weekend – every Betfred Championship fixture live on Our League
The Betfred Championship will break new ground when the 2021 campaign kicks off this weekend – with seven matches which will be played behind closed doors because of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, but which will all be streamed live on the RFL’s Our League platform – web and app. For each of the seven matches, the coverage is available free of charge to season ticket holders of the home club. Early Bird streaming passes for each of the seven matches are available for only £4.95 until the day of the game, when the price increases to £10 – meaning time […]
