EVERETT SIGNS FOR 2025

We are delighted to announce that Toby Everett has signed for the Rams for 2025!

The twenty-eight-year-old forward who previously featured thirty-six times for the Rams in 2017 and 2018 has returned to the club after spending 2024 with Hunslet RLFC.

After departing for Batley Bulldogs ahead of the 2019 season, Everett went on to make fifty-five appearances for our neighbours before finalising a move to Keighley Cougars in 2023.

Upon signing Everett said, “I’m really excited to be back at the Rams for the 2025 season. I was at a bit of a crossroads with rugby league after some poor seasons and thought I might have been ready to walk away from the game.

But when Marchy reached out to me and we met up, he spoke about his plans for the club and the culture he was trying to create back at the Rams, it was something I couldn’t say no to.

I’m excited to be part of the squad that he’s building and I’m excited to be part of the journey he’s trying to achieve by getting the Rams back into the Championship.

Dewsbury is a club that was very good to me the first time I was here and made me and my family extremely welcome when I moved up from London.

I have matured a lot as a player since the first time I was here and I have learnt a lot about myself as a player in the years I’ve been playing at other clubs, but now I hope Dewsbury is the club I can see out the rest of my career at, playing under a coach that knows the game so very well and hopefully can bring the best out of me as a player.

I can’t wait to get started with the lads and rip into what is going to be an exciting 2025 season.”

Head Coach Paul March said, “Toby will add size in the middle of the park and he can also ball play, so bringing him back to Dewsbury is a no brainer and I can’t wait to see him rip into pre-season.”
