We are delighted to announce that Luke Mearns has re-signed for the Rams for 2025!
The twenty-year-old will enter his first full season with the Rams after joining mid-way through 2024 from Hunslet RLFC. Mearns made four appearances in total last season including an impressive full debut in our final day victory against Sheffield Eagles.
Upon re-signing Mearns said, “I can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season with the boys and get a proper pre-season in with Marchy. I managed to get a few games under my belt towards the end of last season which was great for my development and I’m looking forward to kicking on in League One.”
Head Coach Paul March said, “I’m glad that Luke has committed to another year, I’m not sure that many Rams fans knew a lot about him before he joined us, but with the way he played against Sheffield, people hopefully saw what I saw, a local lad willing to work hard for the team and do the extras to make himself better. 2025 will be a big year for him.”
