We are delighted to announce that Matt Garside has re-signed for the Rams for 2025 and has also joined the coaching team as Assistant Coach!
The thirty-four-year-old will enter his third full season with the Rams after initially joining midway through the 2022 season on loan from Halifax Panthers.
In his time with the club so far, Garside has made thirty nine appearances, scoring seven tries. Garside has also joined Paul March’s coaching staff as Assistant Coach for 2025.
Upon re-signing Garside said, “I’m really happy to be staying at the club and continuing my development in the game and I’m thankful to Marchy and Conor for allowing me to have an insight into the coaching side of the game.
We have an awful lot of points to prove after an awful season last year but we’ll be ready to go for Round One.”
Head Coach Paul March said, “I’m glad that a deal has been done for Matt and I’d like to thank SquadBuilder for contributing to make this happen.
Matt’s experience will be vital next year if we want to achieve anything, this could be his last playing year so with that in mind I’ve added him to my coaching staff.
I’m looking forward to seeing him lead the team on the field and how he develops as a coach at semi-professional level.”
