We are delighted to announce that Bailey O’Connor has signed for the Rams for the 2023 season!
The twenty-year-old who can operate at full-back, centre and half-back has signed on for 2023 after impressing in pre-season, featuring in our final two friendlies against Bradford and Huddersfield. The highly rated youngster most recently played for Lock Lane ARLFC and has also featured for England Community Lions.
On signing for next year O’Connor said “It’s an exciting opportunity for me, something I feel I couldn’t really turn down. I feel like I’m ready to challenge myself at a higher level and I’m looking forward to showing what I can do in the coming season when the opportunity arises.”
Head Coach Liam Finn said “We heard about Bailey through a number of different people most of which were people from around his community club at Lock Lane who wanted him to test him because they believe in his ability.
We were more than happy to give him an opportunity to show us and in the short time he’s been here he’s done that and we believe he will continue to improve and his natural versatility gives him potential opportunities to break into our team in the near future and once he’s in I think we’ll struggle to get him out.
I think the Dewsbury fans will like Bailey, he’s a Rugby League player who can just play wherever you put him on the field.”
