PLAYERS TO DEPART RAMS

Dewsbury Rams can today confirm the players that will be leaving the club at the end of this season.

With nearly two hundred Rams appearances between them, Michael Knowles and Adam Ryder are the two longest serving Rams players who will be leaving.

Knowles, who recently celebrated his testimonial year at the club, made over one hundred appearances for the Rams in six seasons, scoring twenty-one one tries, kicking three goals and four drop-goals including the winning point in our game against Workington Town back in April. The thirty-five-year-old was the Rams’ third highest appearance maker in 2022, a season in which he played his 400th first-class rugby league game.

Ryder who joined the club from Keighley Cougars in 2018, made eighty appearances for the Rams, scoring twenty-five tries and was the joint-second highest try scorer in 2022.

Amongst the other players leaving the club are Matty Beharrell and Ross Peltier who both ended the season on loan at Hunslet, Harry Kidd, Jason Walton, Keenen Tomlinson, Jake Sweeting, Aaron Hall, Jon Magrin and Jack Blagbrough.

As previously announced Dom Speakman and Chris Annakin have both retired from the sport, whilst Ben Blackmore has joined Bradford Bulls for 2023. We would also like to thank Robson Stevens, Jon-Luke Kirby and Aidan McGowan who have returned to the Huddersfield Giants as their loans have ended.

We would like to wish all the departing players the best of luck for the future.
