WALKER RE-SIGNS FOR 2023

We are delighted to announce that Jackson Walker has re-signed for the Rams for the 2023 season!

21-year-old Walker who joined from local amateur side Dewsbury Moor ahead of the 2022 season had spells earlier on this year at both Cornwall and Hunslet before making his Rams debut under Liam Finn against Bradford at Odsal. Since then, he has made a further nine appearances for the Rams and become a firm fan favourite in that short space of time.

Jackson is no stranger to the club having followed the club as a youngster and with his dad Matt and uncles Patch and James having all worn the famous red, amber and black.

On re-signing Walker said, “I’m buzzing to have signed again for next year after finally getting a shot later in the season when Finny came in. I’ve loved every minute of it and can’t wait to repay the faith that both Finny and Casper have shown in me next year. I think there’s some real exciting times coming in 2023 for the club and I’m really excited to be a part of them and get the club back to where it should be.”

Head Coach Liam Finn said “Jackson came to the club on trial eighteen months ago and did everything he was asked to do. When he got his opportunity, he’s shown raw aggression and ability, but his mentality will take him far. With a good off-season in the gym and on the field he’ll be a big asset for us moving forward.”

Keep your eyes peeled Rams Fans as we’ll be announcing another re-signing tomorrow night!
