RAMS ADD FOUR MORE

We are delighted to welcome four new players to the club in time for this weekend’s game against Bradford.

Prop Jack Blagbrough has joined us on a deal until the end of the season from neighbours Batley Bulldogs. The twenty-eight-year-old has vast amounts of Championship experience playing for York, Leigh and Sheffield, as well as Batley where he had been since 2020.

Also joining us on a short-term loan deal from Featherstone Rovers are Australian duo Bayley Gill and Ben Mathiou. Half-back Gill, 24, joined Featherstone at the start of 2022 from Queensland Cup side Mackay Cutters, whilst Prop Mathiou, 26, previously played for North Devils and has spent time on loan at Doncaster RLFC this season.

Last but not least Matt Garside has also joined the club on a short-term loan deal from Halifax Panthers. The thirty-one-year-old who can operate in the Second Row or at Centre has played over 250 times in his club career for the likes of London, Sheffield and York, scoring 85 tries.

Head Coach Liam Finn said “It’s great to be able to get these new lads in to freshen things up a little bit and to also ease some of the burden on the rest of the squad, it’s been a tough season for some of them so far, so we’re glad to have them here.”

Jackson Walker has also returned from his brief loan spell at Hunslet RLFC, whilst Jake Sweeting has gone out on loan to Hunslet RLFC for the rest of the season, as reported elsewhere earlier this week.

All four new players will be available for selection for this weekend’s game at Odsal, you can still get your tickets here.

As part of Armed Forces Day, Bradford Bulls are offering free entry for serving armed forces and veterans, whilst under 16’s can also go for free. More information on this offer can be found here.
