Dewsbury Rams fullback Joe Martin says the team will be going out all guns blazing to get a win this weekend against Swinton.
Martin who played last weekend was bitterly disappointed with the 36-0 home defeat to Halifax. On that game he said: “We just simply didn’t turn up, we started slow and we were out enthused by Halifax.
“We didn’t put ourselves in the game at all. The dressing room afterwards was downbeat, as it should be after a loss like that.
“Whilst the attitude and effort might have been there we had lapses in concentration which didn’t help. None of us enjoy losing in that fashion.”
Although Martin was left frustrated from the defeat he and the rest of the players are ready to turn things around on Monday by beating Swinton.
He said: “We are going be all guns blazing next week. We need to be on top form to get the win.
“It’s a massive game, it makes a massive difference in terms of the ladder, we want to be up challenging for top 6 so we need to be beating teams where we are considered 50/50 to win.
“It will definitely be a tough game. They have got good attacking shape and some strike players so we will have to make sure we turn up ready.”
