Dewsbury Rams hooker Reiss Butterworth believes the team can bounce back strong against Swinton on Monday.
The team have lost three games on the spin now but the former Huddersfield Giants man isn’t worried.
On last weekend’s disappointing loss to Halifax, Butterworth said: “We are our own worst enemies at times, we just make too many unforced errors which just gifted fax field possession for the majority of the game. When you do that against any good team they will punish you and that’s exactly what Halifax did.
“Obviously everyone was down and sulking in the sheds because it’s never nice to lose. It’s also frustrating because we know if we just cut out the errors and play to our strengths we can beat any team.
“The errors we are making are just individual errors, so they’re an easy fix. We just need to work on our basic skill in training and get all the 1% things right and everything will come off the back of that.
“The lads are always staying behind after training working on their game which shows a lot about the group we have here.”
Going into this weekend’s game vs Swinton. Butterworth is under no illusion of how tough it will be.
He said: “We know if we just stick to the game plan and do what we are good at then things will start to turn, it’s just about staying in that arm wrestle for longer periods and not cracking first.
“It’s a big game for both teams, Swinton are looking for their first win so they’ll be fired up and we are wanting to get some form back and get that winning feeling back because there is nothing better.
“It’ll be a tough game just like every game is in the championship, every week is a tough ask and we just have to keep turning up and do our best. Hopefully we will get the win. We know Swinton like to throw the ball about so we have got be ready at all times for that.”
