Dewsbury Rams can tonight announce that 22 year old Jamie Greenwood has joined the club for the 2021 season.
Greenwood has previously played for Oldham in their League 1 winning campaign in 2019. He also played in the Huddersfield Giants set up for three seasons before that.
The hooker is also related to head coach Lee Greenwood, Jamie being the younger brother.
Jamie will wear the number 19 shirt.
On signing Jamie, Lee said: “Jamie is very skillful and talented. He has also shown the staff and players that he has the right work ethic and personality to go with it.
“He was desperate to be given another chance in the professional game after spells with Huddersfield and Oldham and we’re always happy to give people that chance.
“He has played more at 9 but as pre-season has gone on he has trained more at half back.
“Working closely with Finny and Sykesy he has started to look more comfortable. He is keen to perform well in the friendlies and compete for a spot in the team.”
