Dewsbury Rams yesterday announced that centre Jason Walton was staying at the club for the 2021 campaign.
Walton signed for the club in 2020 however due to injuries and the season being curtailed he has yet to pull the Rams jersey on.
On staying at the club, Walton said: “I wanted to stay because I still haven’t played a game for the Rams yet.
“Hopefully now fully fit I can show what I can do, I just need to crack on with getting back to my fullest fitness.”
On looking ahead to the Betfred Championship 2021 season, Walton commented: “I’m really looking forward to 2021 more than ever, I have some making up to do for myself from not playing for so long due to a few injury’s.”
Finally Walton spoke about the atmosphere in the team and urges the Rams faithful to stick by the club.
He said: “The atmosphere that Greeny (Head Coach Lee Greenwood) brings to the group makes you want to be part of it. Everyone is hungry and will give their all for that spot.
“To the fans for 2021, just stick with us and we will put 100% in every week.”
