Frazer Morris was announced as staying at the Rams yesterday and the 23 year old is quite happy to stay put at the Tetley’s Stadium.
Morris has become a first team regular since joining back in 2019.
On staying at the club, Morris said: “I’ve enjoyed my stay at the Rams and didn’t want to leave and I stayed because I really think I can make a big impact in the coming year.”
“I feel the more I play the better I’ll get so I’m hoping to stay in that starting team for next season.”
The Rams won four of their six games in the curtailed 2020 campaign. Morris says the squad can’t drop below the level they were playing at going into 2021.
He commented: “It was frustrating but I feel that we can’t drop below that level now. We need to kick start a good pre-season running into next season.”
As like other players, Morris has enjoyed the good bond between ok me another in the squad and thinks keeping that tight knit mentality is crucial going forward.
“We have become a very close bunch of lads and we must always stay positive and push each other to do better in training and on the field so the atmosphere is good to be around.
“It’s been different for most people especially without any rugby but all the lads are buzzing to get back and to return to winning ways so we need the fans behind us.”
