Dewsbury Rams can announce that Rhys Davies has signed a new deal to be part of Lee Greenwood’s 2021 man squad.
Rhys joined the club in 2020 after impressing whilst on trial. Although he can play in a number of positions the 24 year old is normally suited to the second-row role.
The proud Welshman has put in some good performances not just for the Rams but on loan at both Coventry and Hull KR reserves last campaign.
On signing Davies up to a new contract, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “There is definitely some potential with Rhys, which is the reason he will be with us again in 2021.
“Physically he is Championship ready, so there is no reason why he cannot force himself into the team on a regular basis.
“He did well in his only game this year up at Whitehaven. With a big season, who knows, the Wales World Cup squad is not out of his reach.”
There will be an interview with Rhys up on the website soon.
