Hallas hoping to see a big crowd vs York at home

Dewsbury Rams Harvey Hallas is excited about getting the season underway and is also looking forward to seeing a big crowd down at the Tetley’s Stadium vs York City Knights on Sunday February 10th.

On the season ahead, Hallas said: “They are two massive games to start with and we want to get off to a good start and pick up as many points as we can, the first few games are always key. I know playing against York last year they are a tough team and good set of lads, so they will be well up for the new challenge of the Championship next year. I know Rochdale were around the same level as us last year so it will be a close game.

“You can’t go into any game now without your head screwed on, you need to expect they will be tough games and it will be a physical challenge at every level. You have to prepare yourself correctly for every game.”

Hallas is hoping to see a big crowd down at the stadium for Lee Greenwood’s first competitive league home fixture in charge of the Rams.

He commented: “I and the boys would want to see as many fans down at the stadium as possible for our home games, we want to see them fill the stands.

“It is like an extra man behind you on the pitch with them singing and supporting us, it really does help. If we can get that at every home game it will make a huge benefit to the team.”
