Grassroots: Moor player braves the shave for charity

A Dewsbury Moor player is raising money for a charity that provided support to his family during a tough period.

Moor’s Dom Horn will have his head shaved for the team’s final home game of the season on Saturday 8th September and is asking for sponsorship.

He’s raising money for Candlelighters, a charity that supports families facing children’s cancer in Yorkshire.

Dom explains: “I’m doing the heads have for my sister, Cassie. She died when she was six-years-old from a rare condition called medulloblastoma, which is a brain tumour.

“Candlelighters made it possible for my mum and dad to bring Cassie home and helped with all the specialist equipment that was needed to make her life comfortable at home.”
