Head Coach Lee Greenwood has given his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s Betfred Championship clash against Workington Town. Before Sunday’s game against Workington Town, representatives from the National Wiedemann Steiner Syndrome Warriors will be having a bucket collection around the Tetley’s Stadium. Weidemann-Steiner syndrome is a rare genetic disorder resulting from mutations in the MLL (also known as the KMT2A) gene on the long arm of chromosome 11. With less than a thousand people in the world diagnosed with WSS, the National Wiedeman-Steiner Syndrome Warriors were formed with the aim of raising awareness of the condition as well as giving support to those people who have been affected by the syndrome.
