Rams beaten by Panthers at The Shay.
After last week’s defeat at Odsal against Bradford Bulls, the lads were back on the road again this time to The Shay to face Halifax Panthers.
In tricky conditions, the opening twenty minutes were a slog between the two sides but it was the home side who struck first when Ed Barber went over for the Panthers.
James Woodburn-Hall added a second for the home side not long after to give Halifax a ten-point-lead at the break.
The second forty didn’t start well for the Rams when Gareth Widdop scored under the posts just minutes into the half.
Ben Tibbs added another try just after the fifty minute mark, followed shortly after by a second of the afternoon for Gareth Widdop.
Calum Turner got the Rams on the board with an excellent finish just after the hour mark, but it was Halifax who finished off the scoring when Ben Tibbs went over for his second of the afternoon in the corner.
After the game Rams Head Coach Paul March said “It’s the same old story really, I feel like I say the same every week, we played well for the first forty and then we concede two tries from unforced errors, it’s been the story of our season.”
Our next game sees us back at FLAIR Stadium to face Swinton Lions on Sunday 15th September at 15:00.
