We are delighted to announce that Matt Garside has re-signed for the Rams for 2024!
The thirty-three-year-old second-rower, who featured nineteen times for the Rams in 2023, will enter his second full season with the club after signing from Halifax on a permanent basis at the end of September 2022. He managed five tries in our title-winning campaign including a hat-trick in our final game against Doncaster RLFC.
Upon re-signing Garside said, “I’m really happy to be extending my stay at the Rams, we are a very close-knit group and we are excited to start our preparations, led by Fergie, for a tough Championship campaign, UP THE RAMS!”
Head Coach Dale Ferguson said, “As soon as I started the job, I was keen to get Matt signed up for next season, he’s a been around for a long time and has a lot of experience at this level. He’s the sort of player who’ll lead the team from the front and he’ll be one of our vice-captains in 2024.”
