We can confirm that Andy Gabriel has joined Oldham RLFC on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old winger who has played for the Rams since 2019 joins the Roughyeds on a short-term loan until the end of the 2023 season.
Gabriel made a try-scoring return to action last month against Rochdale Hornets after recovering from a serious injury which he sustained in a match against Widnes in July 2022.
On the move, Head Coach Liam Finn said “Gabes has worked hard getting back from a serious injury and we were delighted to see him back in Dewsbury colours for his return.
We have two wingers who are playing well and Gabes wants to get his fitness up and force his way back into our team. It shows his character that he’s prepared to go and play somewhere to do that as a lot of people would just sit tight and wait without taking themselves out of their comfort zone.
He will be available to call back for our next game if required.”
