GREENWOOD AHEAD OF EAGLES CLASH

Ahead of tomorrow’s game with Sheffield Eagles, Lee Greenwood shared his thoughts about our start to the season and our opponents.

The start to the Betfred Championship has been difficult for the Rams but Greenwood remains hopeful of improvement “Sunday will be another hard one for us, we obviously haven’t started well and teams are smelling blood against us. There is no easy way out in this division, we need to get our performances right and hope that results follow. We made York work hard for an hour last week, which was an improvement on the previous game. If we can make the same amount of progress tomorrow afternoon, then we’ll have a chance.”

On Sheffield, who came away from Odsal last weekend with a victory against Bradford Bulls, Greenwood said “Sheffield have recruited well and have a lot of proven Championship experience. I know Mark Aston was disappointed with last season and there’s been a decent turnover of players. Anthony Thackeray will always be their main threat and there will be a lot of happy opposition coaches once he retires at the end of the year”.
