The Betfred Championship Round 4 makes a return this Sunday after last weekend’s Coral Challenge Cup 4th round games. Only the Whitehaven – Dewsbury Rams match got postponed due to a unplayable pitch at the Recreation Ground, details for this match to take place have have not been announced as of yet.

The draw for the fifth round took place on Monday evening, when this match eventually takes place, the winner will be away at League 1 side Newcastle Thunder. Other ties involving championship sides includes Widnes Vikings vs Swinton Lions, Sheffield Eagles vs Workington Town, Featherstone Rovers vs Hunslet RL, Hull KR vs Leigh Centurions and York City Knights vs Rochdale Hornets.

The Championship kicks off at The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium as Batley Bulldogs welcome Sheffield Eagles. The Bulldogs last home game produced a victory over Swinton Lions, whilst the Eagles are still looking for that first win in the championship.

Halifax RLFC entertain York City Knights at The Shay. This match is a themed retro round game, supporters have been asked to wear their old rugby jerseys from yesteryear. The idea is taken from the NRL where they have a similar round each year. York City Knights will be hoping to get their first league win of the season, after impressively beating London Broncos last Sunday in the Challenge Cup.

It’s the battle of the unbeaten teams in the Capital, as London Broncos welcomes Featherstone Rovers to The Trailfinders Stadium. Off the field, Featherstone Rovers have announced a two year stadium naming rights deal with Millennium Support, they provide support for adults with learning disabilities.

Another four figure crowd will be expected at Bower Fold, where Oldham  plays the Bradford Bulls. Ryan Ince has joined Oldham on a month’s loan from Leigh Centurions. Oldham coach Matt Diskin spent three years at the Bulls making 86 appearances and taking up a coaching roll at the club. Rhys Evans has re-joined the Bulls on loan, having penned a permanent contract with Leeds Rhinos.

It’s a Lancashire derby at Heywood Road, where Stuart Littler’s Swinton Lions are up against the in form team Leigh Centurions on the OURLEAGUE app. Lions Mike Butt is in fine form after getting 4 tries in their cup win against Leigh Miners last Sunday. League leaders Leigh Centurions will be confident of staying unbeaten and continue their great start to the season.

Hopefully the Recreation Ground will be playable this Sunday, as Toulouse Olympique arrive in Cumbria. The French team had last weekend off, as they decided not to enter this year’s Coral Challenge Cup competition.

Finally Dewsbury Rams also had last Sunday off, but not out of their choice, with the postponement of their cup game at Whitehaven. The Rams are at home at the Tetley’s Stadium against Widnes Vikings. Hopefully the Rams can build on from the impressive away victory over Halifax RLFC. For the Vikings, a player to watch is Deon Cross who has scored in four straight games. This match is also on the OURLEAGUE app with a 18.15 KO weather permitting.
