Following on from Wednesday’s announcement by the RFL on 2024 club gradings we’d like to offer an update on the breakdown of the club’s score. Our overall score was 7.13 (Grade C), a slight increase on our indicative grading from last year and placing us 26th. FANDOM – 2.50 out of 5 0.05 increase from our indicative grading last year. ROBERTS SIGNS FOR 2025
We are delighted to announce that Harvey Roberts has signed for the Rams for 2025! The eighteen-year-old front rower featured in both the Wakefield Trinity Academy and Reserve sides in 2024 and Roberts has also previously captained the England Community Lions Under 16’s in 2022 and played for Thornhill Trojans. Upon signing Roberts said, “I’m delighted to be joining my hometown club and can’t wait to get started with the lads in a few weeks time. MEARNS RE-SIGNS FOR 2025
We are delighted to announce that Luke Mearns has re-signed for the Rams for 2025! The twenty-year-old will enter his first full season with the Rams after joining mid-way through 2024 from Hunslet RLFC. Mearns made four appearances in total last season including an impressive full debut in our final day victory against Sheffield Eagles. Upon re-signing Mearns said, “I can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season with the boys and get a proper pre-season in with Marchy. GARSIDE RE-SIGNS FOR 2025
We are delighted to announce that Matt Garside has re-signed for the Rams for 2025 and has also joined the coaching team as Assistant Coach! The thirty-four-year-old will enter his third full season with the Rams after initially joining midway through the 2022 season on loan from Halifax Panthers. In his time with the club so far, Garside has made thirty nine appearances, scoring seven tries. Garside has also joined Paul March’s coaching staff as Assistant Coach for 2025. TOMLINSON SIGNS FOR 2025
We are delighted to announce that Dec Tomlinson has signed for the Rams for 2025! The thirty-year-old loose forward has joined the Rams after spending the past three years with Shaw Cross Sharks. Tomlinson was recently nominated for the NCL Second Division 2024 Player of the Year, after his impressive performances saw Shaw Cross promoted to the NCL First Division. Tomlinson also featured for Hemel Stags in their 2017 League One season. We are delighted to announce that Liam Copland has signed for the Rams for 2025! The thirty-one-year-old winger has featured for both Hunslet RLFC and Oldham RLFC after making the step up to the professional game in 2020. In 2024, Copland spent time with Leigh Leopards Reserves as he made his way back to the game after an eighteen month injury layoff.
