DIXON DEPARTS RAMS
We can today confirm that Davey Dixon has left the club after four and a half years. Twenty-seven-year-old Scotland International Dixon joined the club from Keighley Cougars ahead of the 2020 season and has featured forty-four times for the Rams, scoring fourteen tries including a hat-trick last season against Cornwall RLFC. On behalf of everybody at the Dewsbury Rams, we would like to thank Davey for his efforts during his time in the red, amber and black and wish him all the best for the future.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH VACANCY
We are currently looking to recruit a new Strength and Conditioning Coach to start immediately. Responsible to the Head Coach you will lead on all aspects of physical preparation for the squad. You will be required, in collaboration with the Head Coach, to plan and deliver all strength/power programmes, all speed training and all conditioning training. You will also be required to play a part in any player rehabilitation programmes and the planning and delivery of training sessions. WAKEFIELD BEAT RAMS
Rams battle hard but suffer defeat at the DIY Kitchens Stadium against Wakefield Trinity. After last week’s defeat in South Yorkshire against Sheffield Eagles, the Rams faced another tough test against current league leaders Wakefield Trinity. The Rams started well for the first ten minutes keeping the home side at bay, a task made even more difficult with the early loss of Elliot Morris who failed a HIA and didn’t not return to the field. We are delighted to welcome Danny Lee to the club as our new Strength and Conditioning Coach. Lee who played in the club’s reserved side from 2000-03, has had an extensive career in the amateur game playing for Thornhill Trojans and Dewsbury Celtic for the past twenty years and now makes the step up into the backroom team.
