King becomes a Ram

Dewsbury Rams can officially announce that we have signed second-rower Danny King for the 2019 season.

The 21 year old is looking forward to getting stuck in to the action with the Rams over the course of the 2019 season.

On signing for the club he said: “Gareth Greenwood, Lee’s brother knew me from my Siddal days, and Liam Johnson had been for an interview and I know from that, Lee had asked about me. I then came in for a chat and spoke to the club and liked what I heard so I came on board.

“I knew Gareth more than Lee, but I have been into training now for over a week and so have got to know Lee more and more and I am enjoying working with him.

“I wanted to play for a good solid, championship team and I have played against the Rams before for Bradford. Dewsbury have always been a really tough championship club and so it was no problem to sign.

“It feels like a progression in my career, it’s going to be a very tough league this year, very tough, there are a lot of good championship teams. It is probably the highest in terms of quality that the championship has been for a long time. However we as a team are looking to get really stuck in.”

Finally King said about how good he has felt in his first week of training: “Although I have only been in and around the club a week, everyone has been really welcoming such as the staff and volunteers, it seems like it a really warm and good environment to be around.”

If you want to watch Danny in action then why don’t you purchase a 2019 season ticket.
