Dewsbury Celtic face a crucial match in their battle to secure a promotion play-off place when they travel to Barrow Island on Saturday.

Celtic currently sit eighth in National Conference League Division Three, two points adrift of the top six with two matches remaining.

The top two teams in the competition will be automatically promoted, while the teams finishing third to sixth will meet in a play-off series to decide the final promotion spot.

Victory over already promoted Barrow Island would keep Celtic’s hopes alive.

Meanwhile, in Division One, Thornhill Trojans travel to face York Acorn, having already sealed promotion to the Premier Division.

Dewsbury Moor also clinched promotion, from Division Two, last weekend and they will celebrate their success when they host Leigh East.

Meanwhile, Shaw Cross Sharks, whose relegation from Division One was confirmed last week, will travel to face Featherstone Lions.

Sharks will be aiming to build on last week’s positive performance in defeat to York Acorn.
