Thornhill Trojans suffered their first league defeat since March at the hands of Leigh Miners Rangers on Saturday.

Former Ram Luke Haigh grabbed a brace for Thornhill, while George Woodcock also crossed.

Woodcock and Joel Gibson added a conversion each, but the effort was in vain as Trojans slipped to a 32-16 loss.

Thornhill remain four points clear of Miners at the top of National Conference League Division One.

Meanwhile, Shaw Cross Sharks are a minimum five points from safety with just three games remaining following a 58-6 home reverse against Lock Lane.

Owen Lumb was Sharks’ only try scorer.

In Division Two, Dewsbury Moor romped to a 50-0 win against East Leeds to maintain the pressure on league leaders Stanningley, but in Division Three, Dewsbury Celtic were edged out 18-4 away at Millom.
