Dewsbury Celtic Ladies showed outstanding effort in defeat to Keighley Albion on Sunday.

In only their second game of the season, the young Green and Whites were beaten 22-8 by their more experienced opponents, but there was no shortage of endeavour.

Due to injury, illness and work commitments, Celtic only had 12 players available and most of those on duty were aged 16 or 17.

A healthy crowd witnessed skill and physicality in abundance and the game proved an excellent learning curve for the team.
