Dewsbury Rams were knocked out of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup by Whitehaven this afternoon.
The Rams trailed from the eighth minute, when Jessie Joe Parker scored for the hosts.
Jordan Burns converted and added a penalty to put ‘Haven eight points in front, before Martyn Reilly crashed over for the Rams. Glover converted.
Carl Forster scored Whitehaven’s second try, and again Burns converted, and they went further in front through Jason Mossop.
The Rams hit back just before half-time through Jack Teanby, but Parker added a second try after the restart to keep the Rams at arms length.
James Glover scored a great try for the Rams shortly after, but the visitors were unable to find a levelling score in the final quarter.
Stuart Howarth kicked a drop goal three minutes from full-time to seal the win.
