Dewsbury Rams have completed the signing of prop forward Matty English on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Giants.
The Giants will be able to recall English, should his services be required at a later stage of the season.
English made his Super League debut for Huddersfield in 2017, and also featured for the club in the pre-season fixture against the Rams last month.
The 20-year-old was named in the England Academy squad that toured Australia in 2016 and is rated by Giants boss Rick Stone as an exciting prospect for the future.
“Matty showed up well against us in the pre-season, and against Wakefield, and he comes highly-rated,” said Rams boss Neil Kelly.
“He is tipped by the papers as the player most likely to come to the fore for Huddersfield this season, but we’re hoping that he’s going to come to the fore with us.
“He adds depth to a pack that is already strong, but which perhaps lacks numbers.
“Huddersfield have the ability to call him back, but if they have a reasonable time with injuries then there’s every chance he’ll remain with us.
“Ideally, I’d like to sign my own players on, but currently there aren’t any available in that position that are right for what we need.
“With that in mind, Matty is a tremendous acquisition for us.”
