Despite a spirited second half comeback, Dewsbury Rams suffered a 32-22 defeat to Huddersfield Giants in Leroy Cudjoe’s testimonial match.

The Giants fielded a side that combined youth and experience, while Rams boss Neil Kelly also used the game to trial different combinations.

The Rams trailed 22-6 at half-time, with Gareth Potts the vistors’ scorer.

But Kelly’s men crossed for three further scores in the second period to make their Super League hosts work hard for their win.

Dale Morton, Macaulay Hallett and James Glover were Dewsbury’s scorers in the second 40.
